Karyn Wright is the president of Karyn Wright Educational Consulting. She is also a senior member of the Danielson Group, a group of consultants who work directly with Charlotte Danielson to deliver training related to the Danielson Framework for Teaching to school administrators and teachers.
Wright spent 27 years in the Clark County School District and prior to retirement in August 2009, she served as the director of the Teacher Induction and Mentoring Department. In this position, she was responsible for pre-service teacher placement and accompanying teacher training, new teacher induction, new teacher training and development, mentor training and development, the Alternative Route to Licensure Program, National Board teacher recruitment and support, and the Teacher Leadership Program.
Wright received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and a master of science degree in counseling from Southern Illinois University. She also earned a professional administrative endorsement from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
During her time in the Clark County School District, Wright worked as a teacher, curriculum specialist, assistant principal, coordinator, and director. She was inducted into the CCSD Excellence in Education Hall of Fame in November 2008. Wright has also been an adjunct instructor in both undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; Nova Southeastern University; Sierra Nevada College; and Touro University Nevada.
